MY LIFE IN ART
(megan lee wenger)
making paintings like poems: something loud lying down with something soft, and breathing together. you can see the time in the texture, in everything that’s been left. a story is told.
making songs like paintings: layer after slow layer, adding moments one by one and peeling off the top. not knowing what will happen, not knowing if it will be good. trying anyway.
making poems like snaking a sink: getting the words out the only way they will come. trying to find a treasure in all the shit, and then washing my hands.
